Locket Love
I am so pleased to share my latest collaboration with you! I have been given the amazing opportunity to partner with Heartworks by Lori, a beautiful jewelry shop on Etsy! Lori the locketeer is beyond sweet and wonderfully gifted and I feel so honored to be given the chance to collaborate with her and be amongst the other amazing photographers and artists she collaborates with.

Earthy Greens & Purples
There is something very soothing about the color palette of greens and purples, especially those found in nature.
Since it is a relaxing, rainy day here in Northern California, I find this color combination appropriate to blog today.

Fresh Start!
Hi everyone!
Thank you for stopping by and reading this post! My name is Shannon and I am a hairstylist and the photographer behind S.S.C. Photography!
I started this blog in the beginning of my photography journey back in early 2011 and unfortunately failed to keep it updated with new posts...
That being said, I am planning to be far more active this time around in sharing my journey through my photography and art experiences with you! I hope to meet fellow artists and photographers as well and would love for you to introduce yourself if you share the same interests!
Since starting S.S.C. Photography in January 2011, many amazing and exciting have happened along the way! Since opening my print shop on etsy on 1/18/11 I have sold many of my pieces all over the world! It is now late November 2012 and I am happy to say that the print shop is only a few sales shy of 400! I am so pleased that people everywhere like my work and want to include it in their living and/or workspaces. Each order excites me and I am so grateful for the support and business of my amazing, happy customers (THANK YOU ALL!).
Upon the success of the print shop, I decided to open a second shop in late Feb. 2012 - S.S.C. Photography Iphone Cases ! This little shop is doing extremely well and currently over 300 people all over the world are sporting a little S.S.C. Photography on their iphone 4, 4s and 5's, yeah! I am also happy to report that these iphone cases are currently sold in 7 amazing boutique shops in CA, OR, IL, TX and MI! Iphones all over the country are looking stylish and fun in my little cases and I couldn't me more thrilled and excited about this!
My last "OMG Yay!" moment came in June 2012 when I became a partner with the fabulous DENY Designs, a modern, FUN interior decor company based out of Denver, CO. This partnership was one of (if not the) highlight of my photography career as I have been interested in interior design for about 13 years and even listed it as my top 3 career choices in a paper my freshman year of high school (the other 2 were artist and makeup artist, close enough to my current careers I think!)!!
The DENY Designs partnership has been a blast and I LOVE seeing my work on shower curtains, bedding, throw pillows and more! They have grown very popular on sites like Wanelo & are even sold on Amazon, WOO HOO!!!
This journey has been amazing, inspiring, exciting, rewarding and even challenging at times! I never thought when I bought a little point 'n shoot camera at a Walmart after Christmas 2010 that it would evolve into this and am thrilled and thankful that it has!
Excited to continue this journey and share it with you all! Thank you for reading! :-)
